LENEXA, KS--(Marketwired - Sep 23, 2015) - Digital Ally, Inc. (NASDAQ: DGLY) ("Digital" or the "Company"), which develops, manufactures and markets advanced video surveillance products for law enforcement, homeland security and commercial applications, today announced the re-launch of its Laser Ally laser detection and ranging ("LIDAR") speed detection product line.
The popular and innovative Laser Ally, which has been sold in 42 states and 10 countries, is a hand-held mobile speed detection and measurement device which uses patented laser-based technology that relies upon light beams rather than sound waves to measure the speed of vehicles. Laser Ally is a small, lightweight, weather- and impact-resistant device with a range of up to one mile. It has an acquisition time of 1/3 second and can be operated and read by law enforcement officers through vehicle glass, in congested traffic and despite adverse weather conditions. The unit incorporates the most cutting-edge anti-jamming technology and has the ability to continue tracking the speed of vehicles when they are temporarily obscured by trees and other obstructions.
Following three years of litigation, Digital Ally and DragonEye Technology, LLC have agreed to resolve their differences out of court.
"Digital Ally and DragonEye's mutual agreement signifies an amicable resolution for both companies," stated Stanton E. Ross, Chief Executive Officer of Digital Ally, Inc. DragonEye CEO Scott Patterson added, "Through this arrangement, both DragonEye and Digital Ally can get back to doing what we do best -- serving our customers."
DragonEye is the manufacturer of the Laser Ally LIDAR, which trademark brand is exclusively distributed by Digital Ally, Inc. Sales of Laser Ally will resume in the fourth quarter of this year.
