MFS Announces Portfolio Management Addition for MFS Charter Income Trust

MFS Investment Management® (MFS®) is announcing an addition to the portfolio management team of MFS Charter Income Trust (NYSE: MCR) ("the Fund"), a closed end fund. Effective October 31, 2015, Robert Spector, CFA, will join the team as a portfolio manager.

The Fund, which has an investment objective to seek high current income, but may also consider capital appreciation, will maintain its investment objective and strategy.

Spector is an investment officer with MFS and is a global debt instruments portfolio manager for the Fund. Spector joined MFS in 2011 and was a portfolio manager and chief economist of McLean Budden from March 2005 to September 2011.
