CHOSEN BY GAS STATION & C-STORE RETAILERS

CSP magazine selected Commander Site Controller from several hundred nominations as one of three finalists to compete for the title of 2015 Best New Product in the Hardware category. Nearly 1,500 c-store retailers then elected the winning products in each of the program’s 29 categories.

“The evolution of products introduced into the convenience channel is unparalleled,” said Abbie Westra, deputy group editor of CSP and Convenience Store Products, Winsight LLC (formerly CSP Business Media). “The quality of the nominees along with a record number of retailers voting demonstrate just how significant these awards and products truly are to our industry.”

SIMPLIFIES EMV MIGRATION AT THE PUMP

The fastest site controller in the petro space, Commander Site Controller provides increased speed in at-the-pump and in-store payment acceptance, fueling operations and back office control. In addition to reducing complexity by separating payment, fuel and POS software for easier management and remote upgrades, it assists gas stations and c-stores with their EMV migration at-the-pump in connection with the October 2017 EMV liability shift that applies to the petroleum forecourt.

BETTER MANAGEMENT THROUGH THE CLOUD

Commander Site Controller features Commander Console—a cloud-based software management tool allowing managers and owners to track real time data for all aspects of their business, including payment, in-store and forecourt operations. It’s compatible with all browsers and supported on mobile devices through which store managers can access a graphical set of operational matrixes that are easy to navigate.

“Commander Site Controller being named the best new hardware product is truly an honor, as it validates our commitment to innovation that makes our clients and partners more successful by reducing complexity and solving their biggest payment challenges,” said Dan Yienger, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Petroleum for Verifone. “This is a tremendous recognition, and we sincerely thank everyone at CSP magazine as well as our clients and everyone else who voted.”

Key benefits of Commander Site Controller include:

  • Increased speed of payment, fueling and store control through 100 percent IP data transfer
  • Future-proof, expandable architecture for added functionality
  • Remote access for real-time updates and operations management from any web-enabled device, including tablets and smartphones
