SANTA MONICA, Calif. and ROME, Oct. 20, 2015 /CNW/ -- Reflecting the increased depth and visibility of its film slate, Lionsgate (NYSE:LGF), a premier next generation global content leader, today announced the renewal and expansion of its output deal with Leone Films Group S.p.A. in Italy to distribute theatrical titles from the Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment labels.
The agreement covers an upcoming slate that includes such eagerly-anticipated event films as the next two Divergent series films, Allegiant and Ascendant; the adventure fantasy Gods of Egypt, an epic re-imagining of mythical ancient Egypt; Now You See Me 2, the sequel to the smash hit that grossed over $350 million at the global box office; the action thriller Deepwater Horizon; and the live action Saban's Power Rangers film. The next film to be released by Leone will be The Last Witch Hunter, Vin Diesel's next film following the blockbuster Fast & Furious 7.
