TORONTO, Nov. 5, 2015 /CNW/ - TMX Group today announced its financing activity on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange for October 2015.

Toronto Stock Exchange welcomed seven new issuers in October 2015, compared with 13 in the previous month and 21 in October 2014. The new listings included three exchange-traded funds, two technology companies, one closed-end fund and one special-purpose acquisition company. Total financings raised in October 2015 decreased 54% from the previous month, and were down 50% compared to October 2014. The total number of financings in October 2015 was 30, compared with 48 in the previous month and 60 in October 2014.

TSX Venture Exchange welcomed two new issuers in October 2015, compared with four in the previous month and four in October 2014. The new listings were both mining companies. Total financings raised in October 2015 decreased 9% from the previous month, and were down 69% compared to October 2014. There were 95 financings in October 2015, compared with 101 in the previous month and 128 in October 2014.
