Company enters new phase of development
MONTRÉAL, Nov. 19, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - TVA Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Michel Trudel as President of MELS, a Canadian film and television production leader. Michel Trudel is known as one of the builders of the industry. He will be responsible for pursuing MELS's growth and steering the company through a new stage of development at home and abroad.
"As the founder of Les locations Michel Trudel, the developer of Mel's - La Cité du Cinéma, and the founder of Les génératrices Star, Michel has played an instrumental role since 1988 in the emergence and development of Québec's film and television production industry," said Julie Tremblay, President and CEO of Quebecor Media Group and TVA Group Inc. "His move up from President of MELS's soundstage and equipment division to President of the company reflects our confidence in him."
With this appointment, Michel Trudel adds to the duties he performed as president of the soundstage and equipment division responsibility for all of the company's other divisions, including visual effects and postproduction (previously known as Vision Globale). He will be supported by a top-notch team including Paul Bellerose, Vice President Sales; François Garcia, Vice President Sales – Creative Services; Benoît Touchette, VFX Manager; and Sébastien Labbé, the newly appointed Senior Operations Manager.
