TSX/NYSE/PSE: MFC SEHK:945
TORONTO, Dec. 9, 2015 /CNW/ - Manulife has been recognized by the
Glassdoor Employees' Choice Awards with a Best Places to Work award.
The Glassdoor Awards are based on voluntary and anonymous feedback from
employees. Manulife was ranked number nine of Canada's top 25 Best
Places to Work in 2016.
More than 800,000 company reviews were submitted to Glassdoor during the
eligibility timeframe. Glassdoor relied solely on the feedback of
Manulife's Canada-based current and former employees who voluntarily
shared their thoughts about Manulife on Glassdoor's website over the
past year. Employees complete an anonymous company review that
captures their overall job and company satisfaction, including their
best reasons to work at their company, and what needs improvement. The
quality, quantity, and consistency of reviews lead Glassdoor to its
final decision.
"I am delighted with this recognition, and would like to thank our
employees for taking the time to provide their feedback about what it's
like to work at Manulife," said Donald Arthur Guloien, President & CEO,
Manulife. "This award is a reflection of the insights and perspectives
of both present and former employees and their direct acknowledgement
that we are moving in the right direction as we continue to strengthen
our culture and workplace experience."
Manulife has also been recognized as the most Trusted Insurance Brand in
Canada by the University of Victoria's Gustavson Brand Trust Index, was
named one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People for four
consecutive years and was named one of Canada's 10 Most Admired
Corporate Cultures of 2015 by Waterstone Human Capital. Donald Arthur
Guloien was also named one of Glassdoor's Highest Rated CEOs in Canada
for 2015.
