Planet Fitness Announces Nationwide New Year Membership Offer

Additionally, Planet Fitness commissioned a new independent survey of 1,000 people to take a look at New Year's goals and gym culture in America, and found:

Optimism is high for 2016. 94% of Americans with a fitness-related New Year's resolution believe they'll achieve it.
What makes for a positive gym experience? More than half (54%) of Americans say the top contributor to a positive gym culture is a friendly staff, followed by low membership prices (51%) and clean facilities (50%).
Biggest barriers to joining a gym. Cost is the number one obstacle, given by 41% of Americans, for not going to the gym, followed by lack of motivation (28%) and inconvenience (27%).

This survey was conducted online December 21 through 27, 2015 among a representative sample of 1,000 adult Americans by Toluna, an independent research provider, under the guidance of RF|Binder's research team.
