Verifone to Deliver End-to-End, EMV-Ready Payment Solution to Microsoft Dynamics Customers

PAY

Single Integrated Solution Will Help Microsoft Dynamics Users Expedite EMV Acceptance, Simplify Payment Management, Enhance Security & More

Verifone (NYSE:PAY) today announced its partnership with Microsoft to provide comprehensive EMV-ready Payment as a Service solutions certified for Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail and Commerce solutions.

SIMPLIFIES EMV CERTIFICATION

In addition to Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, merchants are challenged by the expensive and time consuming process of certifying their point of sale (POS) software with processors in order to support EMV. Fortunately, Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft Dynamics RMS users will be able to overcome these challenges with Payment as a Service from Verifone, which bundles payment hardware, software and support services into a single integrated solution, enabling merchants to centrally manage their entire payment system.

The solution is built on Verifone’s Secure Commerce Architecture (SCA), which connects payment terminals directly to the Verifone Payment Gateway, preventing sensitive payment data from entering POS software. This enables merchants to update their devices to support PCI changes and card brand-specific EMV requirements - without having to re-certify each time software changes occur.

CENTRALIZES PAYMENT SYSTEM MANAGEMENT

“Ongoing changes in standards and requirements have made managing payments increasingly more complex,” said Ashvin Mathew, General Manager, Microsoft Dynamics. “Partnering with Verifone - a longtime expert in solving merchants’ payment challenges - will simplify this process and enable our users to focus on growing their businesses and improving the customer experience.”

“In addition to simplified payment management, merchants want the most efficient, secure and hassle-free ways to support EMV, NFC, mobile wallets and other emerging payment methods that also offer new engagement opportunities with their customers,” said Jim Surber, regional head of Payment as a Service, North America, Verifone. “Partnering with Microsoft Dynamics - provider of industry leading point of sale software and omni-channel retail and commerce solutions - will greatly expedite our ability to deliver these capabilities to a vast number of merchants across the U.S.”

PROTECTS CARDHOLDERS & MERCHANTS

By decoupling sensitive payment information from the POS, SCA prevents exposure of such information to malware that cybercriminals often use to infect POS software and steal cardholder data. And, Verifone’s Payment as a Service offerings incorporate end-to-end encryption, which renders cardholder data useless to cybercriminals - even in the event of a breach.

ADDS VALUE FOR CONSUMERS AT THE POINT OF SALE

SCA is also the foundation of Verifone’s Commerce Enablement offerings, which enable merchants to provide more value to consumers at the POS. For Microsoft Dynamics users, this means that, in addition to simplifying payments and enhancing security, they will also be able to improve sales and customer loyalty through targeted advertising, digital loyalty, coupons and product offers delivered to consumers at the terminal.
