MONTREAL, Jan. 29, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - Fiera Capital Corporation (TSX: FSZ) ("Fiera Capital" or "the Firm"), investment fund manager of the Fiera Capital Canadian Equity Fund (the "Fund"), announced the closure of the Fund, effective on or about April 29, 2016.

This closure applies only to the Fund (available through Fiera Capital's retail offering), and does not impact the Fiera Capital Canadian equity strategies offered to both institutional and private wealth clients. This decision was made primarily as a result of the small number of unitholders and assets under management in the Fund.

As of January 29, 2016, units of the Fund will no longer be available for investments, including additional purchases by existing unitholders and through regular investment plans.

In accordance with securities legislation, a notice of termination has been sent to unitholders of the Fund.

Fiera Capital encourages unitholders of the Fund to consult with their advisors to understand the financial and tax implications of switching and redeeming their units and to determine the solution that best meets their individual investment needs and circumstances.
