Ideal for college campus security and fire safety and security professionals who want to stay current on life safety trends, the sessions will kick off at universities in Houston, Dallas and San Antonio the week of Feb. 15. The free workshops will cover topics including:
- Understanding changes to NFPA 72, the National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
- Mass notification – considerations, solutions and UL 2572, the standard for mass notification systems
- Meeting the new 520hz (low frequency) fire system requirements
- Carbon monoxide (CO) detection in commercial/college campus settings
The workshops will be hosted by a certified fire safety trainer with 30 years of industry experience and participants may be eligible to receive continuing education credit.
