FRANKLIN, TN --(Marketwired - February 15, 2016) - Five labels from the Naxos of America distribution family are celebrating with their artists, composers and producers after winning awards at the 58th Annual GRAMMY® Awards in Los Angeles, CA.

American ensembles Phoenix Chorale and Kansas City Chorale led by conductor Charles Bruffy took home the Best Choral Performance GRAMMY® for their recording of Rachmaninoff's All Night Vigil on Chandos Records. This is the second GRAMMY® win for Bruffy and the Phoenix Chorale.

The works of the late American composer Stephen Paulus were honored on two GRAMMY-winning recordings. Paulus: Three Places of Enlightenment, Veil of Tears & Grand Concerto on the Naxos American Classics label garnered a Best Classical Compendium GRAMMY® Award for Nashville Symphony conductor Giancarlo Guerrero and producer Tim Handley. Paulus posthumously won the GRAMMY® Award for Best Contemporary Classical Composition for his work Far In The Heavens performed by True Concord Voices and Orchestra, led by Eric Holtan, on Reference Recordings. The work, commissioned and written for the 10th Anniversary of the people who perished in the 9/11 tragedy, was accepted by Paulus' wife Patty and his two sons, Greg and Andrew.

The always contentious Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance category was won by Eighth Blackbird for the album Filament on Cedille Records. This was Eighth Blackbird's fourth GRAMMY® award.

The Best Classical Instrumental Solo GRAMMY® was awarded to violinist Augustin Hadelich and conductor Ludovic Morlot for Dutilleux: Violin Concerto, L'Arbre Des Songes on the Seattle Symphony Orchestra label.

Jeff Van Driel, CEO of Naxos of America, commented from the 58th GRAMMY® Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles: "The creative output of the artists, producers, and engineers in the Naxos of America distributed label family is always amazing to see. This is especially true at GRAMMY® time because it highlights the level of production and musicianship of the recordings that we are lucky to release each and every month. We are honored to celebrate these truly deserved awards with each and every one of our artists."
