Wrike Integrates with Microsoft to Strengthen Team Productivity

Microsoft Office 365 and Azure Active Directory integrations streamline workflow and bolster collaboration for teams

Wrike, the work management platform for high-performance teams, today announced a new integration with Microsoft Corp. to strengthen collaboration for global enterprise teams. With the launch of Microsoft Office 365 and Azure Active Directory integrations, Wrike and Microsoft create a more powerful and seamless experience for the fast-growing segment of enterprise teams who use collaboration tools to manage their work.

Office 365 Add-In

Wrike’s enterprise and professional teams who use Office 365 now have the ability to interact with their Wrike workflows and real-time tasks directly from the Office 365 products that they use every day. Teams can download Wrike from the Office 365 app store and install it for native use with popular products like Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

The Office 365 add-in empowers users to:

  • Create new Wrike tasks within their favorite Office 365 applications.
  • Attach documents to new or existing Wrike tasks.
  • Update Wrike task descriptions, assignees, status and due dates directly from Word or PowerPoint.
  • Review and add comments for team review.
  • Gain visibility and context through access to real-time comments and project status.

The integration brings the ability to create work and plan work together in one place. Contributors can produce and collaborate with their teams on documents in Office 365 and connect their work directly to overall project objectives, workflow and timelines in Wrike. The partnership advances the standard for digital collaboration of teams across the global enterprise.

“The partnership between Microsoft and Wrike is the next step in creating a truly collaborative real-time enterprise where the trusted tools we use to create our work are integrated with dynamic tools we use to organize, share, and move work forward,” said Andrew Filev, founder and CEO of Wrike. “Bringing Wrike and Microsoft together will result in clearer communication and faster decision making - the benchmark for agile teams.”

SSO with Microsoft Azure Active Directory

Single sign on through Microsoft Azure Active Directory allows users to easily and more securely log into Wrike with Windows credentials and helps IT administrators manage user controls and access to company data without cumbersome compliance processes, improving workflow for knowledge workers and make it easier for virtual and cross functional teams who use SSO to collaborate through Wrike.

“Office 365 is about making collaboration easier and more fluid so that teams can create great work together,” said Rob Howard, program manager, Office Developer Platform, Microsoft. “Connecting Wrike’s capabilities to Office 365 enriches collaboration and productivity by uniting document creation with workflows and timelines, creating a seamless experience for Wrike customers.”

Growth of the Enterprise

The Microsoft integration is the latest offering from Wrike focused on promoting productivity for knowledge workers in an atmosphere of fast-paced, expanding digital work. Within the past year, Wrike's enterprise product has seen tremendous growth, as the company focuses on delivering flexible and scalable tools for enterprise teams.
