NGC Software today announced that Brian Brothers, developers of the
popular urban menswear brand Jordan Craig, is implementing NGC’s fashion
PLM and Supply Chain Management (SCM) system. The rapidly growing
apparel brand reviewed apparel software solutions from other leading PLM
vendors and chose NGC based on its extensive knowledge of the fashion
industry and the strength and flexibility of its best-in-class
enterprise solution.
NGC’s PLM/SCM system will provide Brian Brothers with an enterprise
platform that easily shares information among its design and production
teams, improving collaboration, accuracy and responsiveness.
“We need a platform that gives us one version of the truth,” said Brian
Chang, production and design manager, Brian Brothers. “Without a
centralized system, it’s impossible to know if everyone is working with
the same information; otherwise, you may have situations where one team
is working from a different set of specs than another. We need to not
only improve speed to market, but also minimize mistakes and have better
communications with our overseas producers.”
“We want to be able to spend more time on our design, which is our core
strength,” he continued. “NGC’s software will enable us to do that.”
The flexibility of NGC’s enterprise platform was an important factor in
Brian Brother’s selection of NGC. The PLM/SCM system will integrate
seamlessly with Brian Brothers’ legacy ERP solution, which will allow
Brian Brothers to implement a fashion design and production system
without having to undergo a costly ERP replacement.
NGC’s industry knowledge was a big plus, too. “NGC’s people are very
knowledgeable, with lots of industry experience in apparel,” Chang said.
“They were very responsive and accommodating, and that gave us
confidence in moving forward with NGC.”
“Brian Brothers is ideally poised to take advantage of the benefits of
NGC’s fashion PLM and Supply
Chain Management solution,” said Mark Burstein, president of sales,
marketing and R&D, NGC. “We look forward to a successful implementation.”
About Brian Brothers
Brian Brothers launched the Jordan Craig brand in 1989 with the goal of
