Global Marketing Agency Implements Digital Asset Management Solution to Improve Internal Workflow, Expand Access to Clients

MADISON, WI--(Marketwired - March 08, 2016) - MRM//McCann, a leading digital marketing agency with global reach, has selected the Widen Media Collective for its digital asset management (DAM) needs. MRM//McCann recognized that storing images and creative files on internal servers was making work difficult for thousands of employees working in over 30 offices around the world. Maxwell Christen, digital asset coordinator at MRM//McCann, says it was a challenge to find things on their old internal file sharing system, which lacked the ability tag, as well as any real organizational structure.

A vendor search committee set out to find a new product that would fit their needs. "We were looking for a really easy interface, as well as the ability to serve internal agency staff and our clients," Christen says. Simply put: they needed an easy-to-use, yet dynamic solution to store all of their final files from images and documents, to audio and video.

After speaking with a handful of vendors, the search team concluded Widen's DAM system best fit their needs and the criteria they were looking for.

The agency employs an asset manager, who will oversee the use of the DAM solution and upload most of the media. Project managers will also likely be heavy users of the system in downloading files. And in the future, they'd like to expand access to clients across the continent, who will be able to log in and grab whatever they need.

Christen hopes the new solution will make life easier for members of the creative team, as well as account managers, who often need to access the agency's assets. "It used to take a lot of time to find our creative work," he says, explaining that it's not uncommon for clients to make a request to see past campaigns to use as a reference in current projects. "We hope with tagging and a better structure, it will be much easier to locate the assets we're looking for."
