A recent Benefits Canada survey about accumulation shows that, even if almost all plan members agree on the importance of properly planning for their retirement, close to 60% have taken few concrete actions in that regard. This means that the traditional communication approach must be revisited.

Roadmap is a program to help employers face the communication and financial education challenge by proposing an innovative approach to promoting group retirement plans. It relies on:

• Targeted themed campaigns, built on catchy visual concepts, aimed at educating employees about the risks of doing nothing
• An approach adapted to all communication platforms
• Visual, user-friendly and interactive tools that are oriented towards calls to action and improved monitoring of savings
• An analysis that allows the evaluation of the campaigns' success and the adaptation of measures to be taken based on results – an element that sets the program apart
