The BlackRock exchange-listed registered closed-end funds (each a "Fund"
and collectively, the "Funds") announced today that the Board of
Directors/Trustees (the “Board”) of each Fund appointed Ms. Cynthia L.
Egan as a director/trustee effective April 1, 2016. Ms. Egan has agreed
to serve as an independent director/trustee of each Fund and a member of
the Compliance Committee, Performance Oversight Committee and Governance
and Nominating Committee of the Board of each Fund, as of the effective
date.
Ms. Egan served as an advisor to the U.S. Department of the Treasury
from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, Ms. Egan served as a President at T.
Rowe Price Group, Inc. from 2007 to 2012.
