HilltopSecurities' MC Planning is Now HilltopBancSystems

HTH

Hilltop Securities Inc. is rebranding its bank advisory service from MC Planning Systems to HilltopBancSystems (HBS). Coinciding with the name change, HilltopSecurities will market its suite of products nationally to add to the approximately 285 banks and credit unions that utilize it in Texas and Oklahoma.

HilltopBancSystems provides proprietary internet-based software to assist depository institutions in interest rate risk analysis, investment portfolio management and asset and liability management. The name change corresponds with the new name and branding of HilltopSecurities, created through the merger of First Southwest Co. and Southwest Securities, Inc. earlier this year.

“HilltopBancSystems’ software represents nearly 30 years of development and has been refined organically throughout the life of the firm. We’ve had a great response thus far in Texas, and with our new branding as part of HilltopSecurities and the Hilltop Holdings family of companies, HilltopBancSystems is well-positioned to reach new clients across the nation,” said Kevin Dorotik, Managing Director of HilltopBancSystems.

HilltopBancSystems software includes HBS Portfolio Manager, a comprehensive investment portfolio accounting, pricing and analytical system that provides clients with the flexibility of in-house processing with the support of a service bureau; HBS Risk Manager, a reporting tool that covers all management and regulatory reporting needs in the area of interest rate risk management; and HBS Profit Manager, the total financial management version that includes HBS Risk Manager, board and management reporting, branch profit and loss reporting, budgeting and more. Both HBS Risk Manager and HBS Profit Manager can be operated in-house or on a service bureau basis.

Along with the software, HilltopBancSystems offers customized consulting services for banking clients, assisting in the creation of internal policies and guiding management in constructing effective investment and asset and liability management strategies.
