Marsh ClearSight Announces ODG Return to Work Integration and New Predictive Models in Latest Release

Marsh ClearSight, a business unit of Marsh, LLC, and a leading provider of risk, safety, and claims management software, today announced the 15.1.3 release of the Marsh ClearSight platform with Official Disability Guidelines (ODG) integration. The 15.1.3 release debuts new functionality to identify potentially high severity claims through predictive analytics, return injured and ill employees back to work, and uncover trends with advanced analytical tools.

The new 15.1.3 features focus on helping risk professionals better evaluate, mitigate, and manage risk including:

Workers’ Compensation Claim Severity Model: Marsh ClearSight and Oliver Wyman, a leader in management consulting, have partnered to develop a model, through which users can identify good early intervention candidates and effectively allocate their resources to mitigate claim severity. Also included is the ODG Risk Assessment Score.

Return to Work: Users have the ability to manage the end-to-end return to work process with insights from the ODG embedded in the app. ODG is the most comprehensive and up-to-date medical treatment and worldwide return to work guideline, providing evidence-based decision support to improve as well as benchmark outcomes in workers' compensation, non-occupational disability, and general health insurance.

Business Intelligence Tools: This new app helps users perform advanced analyses to uncover decision-ready insights from their risk, safety, and claims data without the limitations of traditional reporting.

"With a database of more than 60 million claims, Marsh ClearSight has a unique ability to identify predictive indicators around claims severity," said Paul Marushka, president of Marsh ClearSight. "Organizations now have the ability to access insights from 10 million lost-time cases to determine the right treatment plans to get injured workers back to work safer and faster.”

Marsh LLC and Oliver Wyman are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Marsh & McLennan Companies (NYSE:MMC), a global professional services firm offering clients advice and solutions in the areas of risk, strategy, and people.
