availability of the feature film "THE RICH WOMAN" in all territories worldwide.
"The Rich Woman" ("Nu Dai Gia") is a Vietnamese film written and directed by Le-Van Kiet and starred Nguyen Cao Ky
Duyen and Thuy Hien. The film is a fast-paced thriller about the a rich business woman who is powerful and successful but her
life is in shambles as she is in constant conflict with her daughter all the while trying to succeed in the modern business world
of Vietnam. After an incident, she tries to turn her life around by cooperating with the police who is investigating her
ex-fiance to destroy his smuggling ring and heal the relationship with her daughter.
Le-Van Kiet is a well known Vietnamese American filmmaker whose previous features include "House in the Alley"
(2012), the first true Vietnamese horror film that was released in in Vietnam and the United States, and "Gentle" (2014), based
on a story by Dostoyevski, which premiered in the Busan International Film Festival.
Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen is one of the most famous Vietnamese American with a large following worldwide. She is
well known as the long-time host of the entertainment show Paris by Night shown in the United States and all territories around
the globe including Vietnam. As the main character in "The Rich Woman", this is her first feature film in Vietnam.
Thuy Hien is Vietnam's most decorated wushu martial artist that won 7 international gold medals including at the
South East Asian (SEA) Games. In "The Rich Woman" she plays a fighter who worked for the crime organization and featured in
the long fighting sequence opposite an undercover cop, played by her real-life sister Thuy Vinh, an actress and model in
Vietnam.
"The Rich Woman" was released in Vietnam on May 20, 2016 by CJ CGV. The film is being shown in all theater
complexes around the country and being hailed as a significant achievement in the new wave of local Vietnamese films that cater
to the fast growing film market in Vietnam.
