Janus Capital Group, Inc. (NYSE: JNS)
disclosed the launch of four thematic ETFs allowing investors to target companies that may gain from global demographic and
consumer shifts. According to the company, these themes included long‐term care for the elderly, an increased focus on health and
fitness, the treatment and care for obesity and an increased demand for organic products.
Janus Capital, SVP and Head of ETF, Nick Cherney, commented, "Changes in demographics and lifestyle are altering the investment
landscape. These thematic Exchange Traded Funds are designed to capitalize on those shifts to give advisors new tools that can help
clients achieve better financial outcomes."
The investment firm indicated the ETFs are overseen by the Janus Exchange Traded Products Team and are not actively managed
products.
The four funds are: Long-Term Care ETF, The Health and Fitness ETF; The Organics ETF and The Obesity ETF.
The stock traded 1.52 percent down on Thursday.
