CACI Awarded $40 Million Contract to Provide Acquisitions Management Support for Department of
Defense
Advanced Technologies Will Enhance Reliability and Efficiency, Optimize Contracting Cost
CACI International Inc (NYSE MKT: CACI) announced today it has been awarded a $40 million single-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite
quantity contract (IDIQ) from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to provide development and sustainment support for the Department
of Defense (DoD) Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and Electronic Document Access (EDA) systems. This three-year contract continues CACI’s
business in its Business Systems market area.
Designed to eliminate paper from the receipt/acceptance and invoice/payments process of the contracting lifecycle, the
CACI-supported WAWF has saved DoD approximately $250 million a year in invoice processing. With the WAWF-EDA award, DoD combines
the complementary WAWF and EDA systems under one contract to facilitate its strategy for improving post-award contract management.
CACI’s role, in partnership with the DLA and the Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy (DPAP) office, will be to continue
enhancing and supporting the WAWF e-Business Suite, with its web-based applications for enhanced processing of contract
documentation, along with the EDA system, which provides a repository for DoD’s procurement instruments and related documents.
John Mengucci, CACI’s Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations, said, “CACI’s software and
systems development expertise has helped make the Wide Area Workflow an incredibly reliable, mission-critical system for DoD. This
system currently processes an average of 636,000 electronic documents a month, and has resulted in significant cost savings for our
customers.”
According to CACI President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Asbury, “CACI has a long history of supporting paperless contracting for the Department of Defense. By
building enduring partnerships with the Defense Logistics Agency and Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy office, and
leveraging our deep subject matter expertise in acquisition management, we are improving the speed and accuracy with which the
Department conducts business, and saving taxpayer dollars.”
