  • Polycom Inc (NASDAQ: PLCM) surged 12.97 percent to $12.28. The volume of Polycom shares traded was 16014 percent higher than normal. Polycom revealed Friday that private equity firm, Siris Capital Group, LLC and its affiliates, have submitted a unilaterally binding offer to buy all outstanding shares for $12.50 per share in cash. Polycom also revealed that its board has approved the cancellation of its previously announced merger agreement with Mitel Networks Corporation (NASDAQ: MITL).
  • Barracuda Networks Inc (NYSE: CUDA) shares moved up 16.60 percent to $18.12. The volume of Barracuda Networks traded was 779 percent higher than normal. Barracuda reported stronger-than-expected results for its first quarter. The company reported that CFO David Faugno will be stepping down and current chief accounting officer, Dustin Driggs, will replace Faugno.
  • TASER International, Inc. (NASDAQ: TASR) shares climbed 5.91 percent to $27.29. The volume of TASER shares traded was 269 percent higher than normal. Gun manufacturers rose after a deadly shooting in downtown Dallas. Three people were in custody while a fourth suspect exchanged gunfire with police authorities. A sniper fatally shot 11 officers, five fatally.
  • Sodastream International Ltd (NASDAQ: SODA) shares rose 6.32 percent to $23.71. The volume of Sodastream shares traded was 169 percent higher than normal. PepsiCo, Inc. (NYSE: PEP) is said to be interested in acquiring SodaStream, according to DealReporter.
