OneMain Partners with Scholly to Help Students Attend College
OneMain Holdings Inc., America's premier consumer finance company offering responsible and transparent personal loan products,
is proud to partner with Scholly, an easy-to-use mobile application that helps students find and apply for college scholarships.
Together, they are offering OneMain customers free access to the Scholly app, where they can get the guidance and support they need
to find college scholarships.
“Attending college is an important step towards financial security, and it’s a step many of our customers are unable to take due
to a lack of resources or understanding of just what support may be available to help them,” said Sheldon Caplis, Director of
Community Engagement at OneMain. “OneMain is committed to helping our customers build their credit and increase their financial
awareness and this partnership with Scholly is a natural extension of our goal to make our customers’ lives better.”
In 2014, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco reported* that the average college graduate earns over $800,000 more than the
average high school graduate by retirement age. This additional earnings potential could be life-changing for many families and
would have a significant positive impact in the communities where OneMain has a presence.
“Working with OneMain to help its customers navigate the college scholarship process is an exciting opportunity for Scholly,”
said Jordan Goldenberg, Chief Marketing Officer and Creative Director at Scholly. “Together, OneMain and Scholly can have a real,
meaningful impact on thousands of families in hundreds of communities across the country. This is what the Scholly app was all
about when we designed it and it fits perfectly with OneMain’s customer commitment.”
Since offering OneMain customers free access to the Scholly mobile app, these users have applied for over $45 Million in
scholarships. OneMain and Scholly are encouraging all OneMain customers to sign up to find out what kind of financial assistance
may be available to help them take the steps they need towards a better education and a brighter financial future. OneMain is
offering the Scholly app free to the first 50,000 OneMain customers and selected community colleges and nonprofit organizations who
download it.
