Gainers

  • Origin Agritech Ltd. (NASDAQ: SEED) rose 38.6 percent to $3.23 in pre-market trading as the company reported the sale of commercial seed production and distribution business for around $60 million.
  • Anavex Life Sciences Corp. (NASDAQ: AVXL) rose 17.8 percent to $3.70 in pre-market trading. Anavex disclosed that it has signed a material transfer deal with Biogen under which Biogen will test Anavex’s drug candidate, ANAVEX 2-73 in neurological protection model.
  • China Ceramics Co Ltd (NASDAQ: CCCL) rose 14.9 percent to $3.42 in pre-market trading. China Ceramics reported Q2 earnings of $1.18 per share on revenue of $31.1 million.
  • Harmonic Inc (NASDAQ: HLIT) shares rose 7.3 percent to $5.00 in pre-market trading. Harmonic reported a warrant deal with Comcast Corporation.
  • Evoke Pharma Inc (NASDAQ: EVOK) rose 7.1 percent to $2.25 in pre-market trading after gaining 7.69 percent on Tuesday.
  • BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ: BBRY) rose 4.7 percent to $8.25 in pre-market trading. BlackBerry adjusted earnings topped estimates, but revenue fell shy of the expectations. The company lifted its outlook for the fiscal year. BlackBerry also reported its first major device software licensing agreement with joint venture PT BB Merah Putih for the Indonesian market.
  • Tile Shop Hldgs, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTS) rose 4.6 percent to $16.05 in the pre-market trading. Tile Shop Holdings will replace EPIQ Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: EPIQ) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on September 30.
  • Sarepta Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: SRPT) shares rose 3.9 percent to $61.38 in pre-market trading. RBC Capital maintained Sarepta Therapeutics with an Outperform and raised the price target from $83.00 to $108.00.
  • Coty Inc (NYSE: COTY) shares rose 2.8 percent to $24.10 in pre-market trading. Coty will replace Diamond Offshore Drilling Inc (NYSE: DO) in the S&P 500 after the close of trading on September 30.
  • Array Biopharma Inc (NASDAQ: ARRY) rose 2.4 percent to $6.75 in pre-market trading. Array Biopharma disclosed that it has priced its 18.4 million share offering at $6.25 per share.

  • Galectin Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: GALT) shares fell 53.6 percent to $1.15 in pre-market trading after the company disclosed that its its Phase 2a clinical (NASH-FX) trail did not meet either primary or secondary endpoints.
  • Tempur Sealy International Inc (NYSE: TPX) shares fell 21.1 percent to $58.75 in pre-market trading after the company lowered its guidance for 2016.
  • Fly Leasing Ltd(ADR) (NYSE: FLY) shares fell 15 percent to $9.80 in pre-market trading after slipping 0.09 percent on Tuesday.
  • Versartis Inc (NASDAQ: VSAR) fell 6.2 percent to $12.50 in pre-market trading. Versartis reported an offering of common shares.
  • Foamix Pharmaceuticals Ltd (NASDAQ: FOMX) shares fell around 4.8 percent to $9.32 in pre-market trading after announcing a follow-on offering of common stock.
  • Mechel PAO (ADR) (NYSE: MTL) shares fell 4.1 percent to $2.78 in pre-market trading after rising 0.35 percent on Tuesday.
  • Nike Inc (NYSE: NKE) fell 2.4 percent to $54.00 in pre-market trading. Nike reported better-than-expected results for its first quarter. However, futures orders, up 7 percent on a currency-neutral basis, missed the Street’s expectations for an 8.3 percent growth.
  • Baidu Inc (ADR) (NASDAQ: BIDU) shares fell 2.1 percent to $186.95 in pre-market trading. Deutsche Bank downgraded Baidu from Buy to Hold.
