Exelon Foundation Helps Power South by South Lawn: A White House Festival of Ideas, Art and Action
The Exelon Foundation today announced its support of South by South Lawn: A White House Festival of Ideas, Art and Action taking
place today in coordination with the American Film Institute (AFI), National Park Foundation, President’s Committee on the Arts and
the Humanities (PCAH), and South by Southwest®.
South by South Lawn, an event inspired by South by Southwest®, brings together creators, innovators and organizers who work day
in and day out to improve the lives of their fellow Americans and people around the world. It is a call to action for every
American to roll up their sleeves and make a positive mark on our country — and a celebration of the great work that we have
already accomplished together.
“We are proud to support this event, which will bring creative thinkers together to share ideas and identify solutions to the
complex challenges facing our country,” said Chris Crane, president and CEO of Exelon, and chairman of the Exelon Foundation. “The
Exelon Foundation believes that innovation and investment in emerging technologies are critical to addressing climate change and
meeting the changing needs of our communities. Harnessing our ingenuity can help bring ideas to the forefront, so that we can help
lead the nation’s transition to a cleaner, brighter energy future.”
