PG&E’s 2016 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Report Details Progress on Safety, Clean Energy
and Other Goals
PG&E has released its 2016 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Report, which outlines the company’s progress on strengthening
public and workforce safety, combating climate change, serving customers locally and enabling their energy choices, and promoting
community and economic vitality, among many other areas.

CEO and president of PG&E Corporation.
The comprehensive online report is filled with stories, statistics, and videos that bring PG&E’s commitment to
sustainability to life. Particularly notable is a series of videos covering how PG&E is working together to build greater
climate resilience, increase customer adoption of energy efficiency, use pioneering technology to reduce methane emissions and
support the Blue Lake Rancheria tribe’s sustainable energy goals through a low-carbon community microgrid.

The Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Report details the accomplishments PG&E achieved in 2015, notably:
- Investing more than $5 billion to enhance our infrastructure and improve safety and reliability.
- Joining California’s delegation to the COP21 international climate talks in Paris to support a global
agreement to combat climate change.
- Delivering some of the nation’s cleanest energy with more than half our electricity coming from
resources free of greenhouse gases.
- Achieving one of the nation’s fastest processing times for connecting private solar installations to
the energy grid.
- Helping customers save $227 million on their energy bills through energy efficiency.
- Achieving industry-leading supplier diversity results, helping thousands of businesses to grow and
hire.
- Volunteering 87,000 hours building homes and playgrounds, cleaning state parks and mentoring
students.
- Providing career opportunities for veterans and women through our PowerPathway™ workforce development
program.
- Pledging to invest $100 million over the next five years to electrify our vehicle fleet.
- Devoting $25 million through our Better Together Giving Program to enrich educational opportunities,
protect our environment, promote emergency preparedness and support the vitality of our communities.

environmental and sustainability groups, community organizations, academia and policymakers.
