  • Global Blood Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ: GBT) rose 16.6 percent to $20.70 in the pre-market trading following a pair of news items announced in a company press release. The company has reached an agreement with the FDA regarding the design of its pivotal trial for GBT440 in adults and adolescents with sickle cell disease. The company announced in an SEC filing that the company's Chief Medical Officer, Eleanor Ramos, will retire, effective today.
  • Rambus Inc. (NASDAQ: RMBS) rose 6.8 percent to $12.80 in pre-market trading after the company reported better-than-expected Q3 results.
  • Silver Standard Resources Inc. (USA) (NASDAQ: SSRI) rose 6.8 percent to $11.60 in the pre-market trading session. Silver Standard is expected to announce Q3 financial results on November 8, 2016.

  • Procter & Gamble Co (NYSE: PG) shares rose 2.6 percent to $86.25 in pre-market trading after the company reported stronger-than-expected results for its first quarter on Tuesday.
  • Under Armour Inc (NYSE: UA) rose 2.2 percent to $38.75 in pre-market trading after the company delivered higher than expected earnings and revenue for the third quarter. The company reiterated its revenue and operating income forecast for the year 2016.
  • Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (NYSE: FCAU) shares rose 2 percent to $6.62 in pre-market trading. Fiat Chrysler Auto reported Q3 adjusted net profit of €740 million on revenue of €26.8 billion. The company also raised its 2016 profit forecast.

  • Brinker International, Inc. (NYSE: EAT) shares fell 5.5 percent to $49.26 in pre-market trading after the company posted weaker-than-expected Q1 results.
  • Buckeye Partners, L.P. (NYSE: BPL) shares fell 5.2 percent to $67.00 in the pre-market trading session. Buckeye Partners reported Q3 earnings of $1.19 per share on revenue of $766.6 million and announced plans to offer 7.5 million limited partnership units.
