Association in Canada (UNAC). Mr. Vachon was guest of honour at the annual Global Citizens Dinner
yesterday, where he was recognized through this award for his dedication and inspirational vision toward a better world for future
generations.
Louis Vachon has been President and Chief Executive Officer at National Bank since 2007 and is
committed to contributing to Canada's economic and social vitality—a tradition the Bank has been
upholding since its foundation in 1859. While he has supported numerous causes throughout his career, Mr. Vachon is particularly
concerned with organizations involved in health and education, which he believes are the pillars of a strong, flourishing
community. He is also a strong advocate of diversity and entrepreneurship as being integral to a prosperous society. Mr. Vachon's
support for the community has been recognized on numerous occasions, most recently with his appointment to the Order of
Canada.
