Performance Foodservice Hosts Suppliers and Customers to Showcase the Latest in Products, Culinary Trends and Technology

Regional food trends, Latin cuisine, Hispanic market growth and new flavors for 2017 among the key topics

More than 750 customers from across the country and 125 suppliers recently gathered to see, taste and learn about the latest products, culinary and industry trends at the two-day Executive Conference hosted by Performance Foodservice, a division of Performance Food Group Company (PFG) (NYSE: PFGC).

“This is our fifteenth year of hosting this exciting annual culinary event, and it’s a great opportunity for us to learn more about our customers’ needs while providing them with ideas and solutions to improve their operations,” said Fred Sanelli, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales Development for Performance Foodservice. “We collaborated with our suppliers to feature 3,100 products to inspire menus, offered six chef demos on the latest food trends, and highlighted innovative technology solutions currently impacting our industry.”

Award-winning celebrity and corporate chefs presented fresh ideas and creative plating concepts on a wide range of menu items including appetizers, seafood, desserts, pizza and even cocktails.

“The collaborative nature of this event benefits all attendees,” added Sanelli. “Our industry landscape and the way we think about food are changing. Sharing ideas and new developments on an annual basis is important to keep both current operators and millennials entering the industry informed and knowledgeable.”
