  • NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA) rose 13.8 percent to $77.10 in pre-market trading after the company reported better-than-expected earnings for its third quarter. The company boosted its quarterly dividend by 22 percent and authorized an additional $2 billion in share buyback program.
  • Merrimack Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ: MACK) rose 12.7 percent to $7.28 in the pre-market trading after surging 9.31 percent on Thursday.
  • Newpark Resources Inc (NYSE: NR) rose 11.2 percent to $7.45 in pre-market trading after gaining 1.52 percent on Thursday.

  • Walt Disney Co (NYSE: DIS) shares rose 1.7 percent to $96.50 in pre-market trading. Disney reported weaker-than-expected results for its fiscal fourth quarter on Thursday. Bob Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer said, “We remain confident that Disney will continue to deliver strong growth over the long-term.”

  • J C Penney Company Inc (NYSE: JCP) shares fell 9.3 percent to $7.99 in the pre-market trading session. J C Penney posted in-line Q3 loss, but revenue missed expectations. Comparable sales fell 0.8 percent during the quarter.

  • Tata Motors Limited (ADR) (NYSE: TTM) fell 4.9 percent to $37.28 in pre-market trading. Tata Motors reported a 9 percent gain in October global wholesales to 101,057 units.
  • SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ: SPWR) shares fell 2.7 percent to $6.15 in pre-market trading. UBS downgraded SunPower from Buy to Neutral and lowered the price target from $13.00 to $7.00.
