KENNETT SQUARE, Pa., Nov. 22, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Genesis HealthCare (Genesis or the Company), one of the
nation’s largest providers of post-acute care, today announced that Robert A. “Mike” Reitz, Executive Vice President and
Chief Operating Officer of the Company, will retire effective January 1, 2017. The Company also announced the appointment of
Paul D. Bach as Chief Operating Officer – Genesis HealthCare effective January 1, 2017 to succeed Mr. Reitz.
From now until January 1, 2017, Mr. Reitz will remain in his current position. Beginning January 1, 2017, Mr. Reitz will
support the Company on a limited project basis focused on the leadership transition and other strategic initiatives such as
relationship development with acute care systems and performance improvement projects.

Mr. Bach, who has served the Company in various roles, including Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President, Regional Vice
President, Regional Director and Nursing Home Administrator, has been a valuable member of the Genesis management team for more
than 32 years. Most recently, Mr. Bach served as the Company’s Executive Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast
Division since 2009 and Senior Vice President of the Capital Region from 1997 to 2009.
