The UPS Store Helps Eliminate Stress from the Holiday To-Do List

UPS

SAN DIEGO, Dec. 01, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and The UPS Store is on a mission to keep the holidays merry and bright by giving consumers a few less things to worry about. Whether it’s tapping into The UPS Store® Certified Packing Experts® know-how or routing gifts to a secure pick-up location, the company’s more than 4,500 locations are prepared to make your holiday gift-giving and receiving a little easier.

“We know a lot of care goes into finding the perfect gift during the holiday season, and our Certified Packing Experts take the same level of care in packing and shipping each gift so you don’t have to,” said Judy Milner, vice president of operations at The UPS Store. “That’s how holidays are made easy at The UPS Store – we take care of the details to shorten your to-do list and make your holidays hassle-free.”

In a recent survey*, The UPS Store found nearly 90 percent of consumers say receiving an unexpected, shipped holiday package excites them. Here are four ways The UPS Store can help gift givers deliver excitement without worry.

1. Certified Packing Experts

Gifts that take a ride on Santa’s sleigh should arrive as you intend them to: intact and ready to bring holiday cheer. That’s why associates at The UPS Store are trained in packing techniques to fit every gift – whether it’s oddly shaped, freshly baked, wrapped or unwrapped.

2. Pack & Ship Guarantee

Customers can revel in the holidays and enjoy some peace of mind after using the packing and shipping services from The UPS Store. With the Pack & Ship Guarantee, if an item is lost or damaged during transit, the customer will be reimbursed for the item’s value as well as the cost for packing materials, service and shipping.**

3. Secure Delivery Locations

The holidays are the perfect time to take advantage of The UPS Store mailbox services. A mailbox allows customers to send all gifts to a safe and secure location until they are ready to pick them up.

4. Convenience

Customers can also sign up for UPS My Choice® notifications, to receive a text or email alert letting them know when their package is scheduled to be delivered and allowing them to reroute packages to their neighborhood The UPS Store location.

5. Ensure Gifts Arrive Before Santa Does

Timing is key when it comes to holiday shipping. Mark the calendar with these shipping deadlines so all gifts arrive just as those sleigh bells are ringing.

For domestic delivery for Christmas by Friday, December 23, ship via:

  • UPS Next Day Air® by Thursday, December 22
  • UPS 2nd Day Air® by Wednesday, December 21
  • UPS 3 Day Select® by Monday, December 19

For domestic delivery by Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24, ship:

  • UPS 2nd Day Air ® on Thursday, December 22

With holiday shipping made easy, there’s more time for holiday fun. Participate in The UPS Store® Five Days of Giftmas on Facebook December 12-16.
