TORONTO, Dec. 7, 2016 /CNW/ - Manulife has been recognized by the Glassdoor Employees' Choice Awards as one of the Best Places to Work in Canada for the second year in a row. The Glassdoor Awards are based on voluntary and anonymous feedback from employees.

"Being named a Best Place to Work in Canada is a real honour which would not be possible without Manulife's current and former employees, who took the time to provide their insights and feedback about what it's like to work here," said Donald Guloien, President & CEO, Manulife. "We are delighted to receive this award for the second year in a row. It speaks to our progress in making Manulife a great place to work, where employees can pursue their dreams and aspirations."

Manulife earned recognition as one of Canada's Best Places to Work through employee reviews posted to Glassdoor's website between November 2, 2015 and October 30, 2016. Employees were asked to rate their satisfaction with the company overall, and key workplace factors like career opportunities, compensation, benefits, work/life balance, senior management, as well as culture and values. In addition, employees were asked to describe the best reasons to work at Manulife, as well as any downsides.

Manulife was also named one of Canada's Best Employers 2016 by Forbes, one of Canada's Top Employers for Young People for five consecutive years, and was named one of Canada's 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures of 2015 by Waterstone Human Capital. Donald Guloien was also named one of Glassdoor's Highest Rated CEOs in Canada for 2015 and 2016.
