CARMEL, IN--(Marketwired - December 08, 2016) - Allegion Americas, a security
products and solutions provider, today dedicated nine new homes with Habitat for Humanity in Baja California, Mexico.
In September, Allegion initiated a $100,000 contribution to build Habitat homes alongside families in Tijuana and Tecate with
a volunteer team made up of 120 employees.
"As a company that values serving others and pioneers safety and security, Allegion is honored to promote homeownership with
Habitat for Humanity," said Allegion Chairman, President and CEO Dave Petratis. "In Mexico alone, this organization has served
nearly 57,000 families -- an outstanding impact. As a local business, we want to help grow this positive work there."
Allegion Americas has a history of supporting Habitat for Humanity since 2009 in Indianapolis, Ind., where the company has a
manufacturing facility. Earlier this year, Allegion Americas dedicated its eighth home with Greater Indy Habitat for
Humanity.
"Allegion's support has helped families obtain decent and affordable homes and create better lives for themselves," said
Jonathan Reckford, Habitat for Humanity CEO. "We are grateful to partner with Allegion Americas to help families build strength
and independence."
Support in Indianapolis has included nearly $750,000 in sponsorships and in-kind donations as well as 13,000 volunteer hours
to support the dream of homeownership. In 2015, Allegion Americas also began supplying hardware to Habitat for Humanity ReStores
across the United States and, this year, donated nearly $1 million retail value.

About Habitat for Humanity
Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity began in 1976 as a grassroots
effort on a community farm in southern Georgia. The Christian housing organization has since grown to become a leading global
nonprofit working in nearly 1,400 communities throughout the U.S. and in more than 70 countries. Families and individuals in need
of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build
their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to
support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build
better lives for themselves. Through shelter, we empower. To learn more, visit habitat.org.
