CEMEX Closes Sale of Ventika Stake
CEMEX, S.A.B. de C.V. (“CEMEX”) (NYSE: CX) announced today that the company closed the divestment of its interest in the Ventika
wind farm project. CEMEX will receive approximately U.S.$35 million mainly for the divestment of its equity minority interest in
Ventika.
IEnova acquired 100% of the equity in Ventika from Blackstone Energy Partners, Fisterra Energy, and other minority shareholders,
including CEMEX.
CEMEX Energia will remain as the manager of the Ventika windfarm facilities.
The proceeds obtained from this transaction will be used mainly for debt reduction and for general corporate purposes.
