Dayton Power & Light Company Awarded Grants totaling $2.5 Million to Local Organizations in 2016

The Dayton Power and Light Company (DP&L), a subsidiary of The AES Corporation (NYSE: AES), awarded one hundred forty-five (145) grants to a variety of educational, cultural, arts, human services, community and environmental organizations totaling $2.5 million in 2016.

“DP&L and the DP&L Foundation make significant contributions to programs that make a difference our communities,” said DP&L President and CEO Tom Raga. “It is part of our corporate philosophy and these grants are just one visible result of what DP&L and our employees contribute to enhance the quality of life for our customers and their families.”

The 2016 grants include twelve Signature Grants, a program the DP&L Foundation Board of Trustees initiated in 2013 to support new or innovative initiatives by our community partners. The Signature Grants, including three that exceed $100,000, will be announced in January 2017.

Since its founding in 1985, The Dayton Power and Light Company Foundation along with DP&L have awarded almost $52 million to worthy organizations.
