MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Jan. 25, 2017) - Oceanic Iron Ore Corp.
("Oceanic", or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:FEO) is pleased to announce that it has reached
agreement with 154619 Canada Inc. ("154619"), a company controlled by Mr. Peter Ferderber, in respect of the
settlement of its 2016 advance royalty payment of $100,000.
The Company and 154619 have agreed to settle the 2016 advance royalty payment through the issuance of 400,000
common shares at a price of $0.25 per share, subject to approval by the TSX Venture Exchange. The common shares issued will
be subject to the statutory four month hold period.
In accordance with the agreement between Oceanic and 154619, 154619 is entitled to a $100,000 annual advance
royalty payment until the commencement of commercial production on the Company's Hopes Advance Project. Advanced royalty
payments for both 154619 and the other royalty holder, SPG Royalties Inc., are deductible from actual royalty payments subsequent
to the commencement of commercial production.
With the settlement of the 2016 advanced royalty payment, Oceanic remains current in respect of its contractual
obligations with 154619.
