The Thai Fund, Inc. and The Turkish Investment Fund, Inc. Announce Portfolio Management Changes
Morgan Stanley Investment Management announced today portfolio management changes for Morgan Stanley Asia-Pacific Fund, Inc.
(NYSE: APF), Morgan Stanley China A Share Fund, Inc. (NYSE: CAF), Morgan Stanley Emerging Markets Fund, Inc. (NYSE: MSF), The Thai
Fund, Inc. (NYSE: TTF) and The Turkish Investment Fund, Inc. (NYSE: TKF) (each, a “Fund”). Each Fund is managed by the Emerging
Markets Equity team of Morgan Stanley Investment Management Inc. (the “Adviser”). The team consists of portfolio managers and
analysts.
Effective January 30, 2017, the members of the team primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of Morgan Stanley
Asia-Pacific Fund, Inc. will be May Yu, a Managing Director of the Adviser, and Munib Madni, a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley
Investment Management Company (“MSIM Company” or the “Sub-Adviser”). Ms. Yu has been associated with the Adviser in an investment
management capacity since June 2013. From August 2012 to June 2013, she was associated with MSIM Company in an investment
management capacity. From February 2011 to August 2012, Ms. Yu was lead portfolio manager at China International Capital
Corporation. She began managing the Fund in August 2012. Mr. Madni has been associated with MSIM Company in an investment
management capacity since February 2005 and began managing the Fund in May 2012.
Effective January 30, 2017, the members of the team primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of Morgan Stanley China
A Share Fund, Inc. will be Gary Cheung, an Executive Director of the Sub-Adviser, and May Yu, a Managing Director of the Adviser.
Mr. Cheung has been associated with the Sub-Adviser in an investment management capacity since June 2008. He began managing the
Fund in February 2012. Ms. Yu has been associated with the Adviser in an investment management capacity since June 2013. From
August 2012 to June 2013, she was associated with the Sub-Adviser in an investment management capacity. From February 2011 to
August 2012, Ms. Yu was lead portfolio manager at China International Capital Corporation. She began managing the Fund in August
2012.
Effective January 30, 2017, the members of the team primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of Morgan Stanley
Emerging Markets Fund, Inc. will be Munib Madni, a Managing Director of MSIM Company, and Eric Carlson, Paul C. Psaila, Ruchir
Sharma and Gaite Ali, each a Managing Director of the Adviser. Mr. Madni has been associated with MSIM Company in an investment
management capacity since February 2005 and began managing the Fund in May 2012. Mr. Carlson has been associated with the Adviser
in an investment management capacity since September 1997 and began managing the Fund in February 2011. Mr. Psaila has been
associated with the Adviser in an investment management capacity since 1994 and began managing the Fund in February 1994. Mr.
Sharma has been associated with the Adviser in an investment management capacity since 1996 and began managing the Fund in February
2002. Ms. Ali has been associated with the Adviser in an investment management capacity since 2007 and began managing the Fund in
April 2013.
Effective January 30, 2017, the members of the team primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of The Thai Fund, Inc.
will be Munib Madni, a Managing Director of the Sub-Adviser, and Victoria Lim, a Vice President of the Sub-Adviser. Mr. Madni has
been associated with the Sub-Adviser in an investment management capacity since February 2005 and began managing the Fund in August
2008. Ms. Lim has been associated with the Sub-Adviser in an investment management capacity since 2012 and began managing the Fund
in January 2017.
Effective January 30, 2017, the members of the team primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of The Turkish
Investment Fund, Inc. will Eric Carlson and Paul C. Psaila, each a Managing Director of the Adviser, and Mr. Jorge Chirino, a Vice
President of the Adviser. Mr. Carlson has been associated with the Adviser in an investment management capacity since 1997 and
began managing the Fund in January 2006. Mr. Psaila has been associated with the Adviser in an investment management capacity since
1994 and began managing the Fund in September 1997. Mr. Chirino has been associated with Morgan Stanley since 2007 and with the
Adviser in an investment management capacity since 2014 and began managing the Fund in January 2017.
