TORONTO, March 10, 2017 /CNW/ - With great sadness, the Board of Directors of Tricon Capital Group Inc. announced today the passing of Tricon's Lead Director, Eric Duff Scott.  Mr. Scott has been the Company's Lead Director and Chair of its Compensation, Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee since the Company went public in 2010. 

Through his long and distinguished business career, Mr. Scott helped to shape strategy and governance practices across a wide spectrum of Canadian businesses, serving on the boards of over 20 public companies and as Chairman of the Toronto Stock Exchange, Deputy Chairman of Merrill Lynch Canada and Chairman of Prudential Bache Securities Canada.
