WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., March 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/
-- Bahamas Development Corporation (OTC PINK: BDCI) has made forward progress on increasing capacity for Native Outfitters™,
while further progressing in the Bahamas.
Native Outfitters is being overhauled to increase its sales and production. When purchased, Native's backend capacity
was limited to 1,000-1,200 shirts per week. With the addition of new equipment and a new layout, production can now comfortably
exceed 3,000 shirts per week. The increased production capability allows the company to write more orders and fill existing
orders faster, resulting in more re-orders from existing customers who had waited up to 6 weeks to receive product in the past.
The industry average is 10 days to 2 weeks for delivery. With new production capabilities in place Native will have no problem
meeting and or exceeding that average.
In September 2017 at the Surf Trade Show, Native Outfitters™ will showcase new products and a
new line to increase sales. Native Outfitters™ as a brand has been very successful in building a name for itself. New management
will leverage that goodwill, build off the brand, and expand the product line.
New Stand Operating Procedures ("SOP") being put in place this year will dramatically increase productivity and efficiency.
The attorney representing BDCI's interests in Freeport has received all the necessary paper
work from the corporate officers which included, background checks, certified copies of their passports, and financial reference
letters, among other documents. The Bahamian Corporation will be filed this week and the process of obtaining a business license
and work permits will begin.
The Bahamian apparel business has a built-in customer base on the Island of Freeport. The Government is searching for
ways to keep more money on the Island, reduce imports, and have Island-made products saleable to the 500,000 plus tourists that
visit each month. If the Island operation just services the local market it will add over a $1
million a month in revenue to the bottom line.
