Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:

  • Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) delivered over 25,000 vehicles in Q1, of which about 13,450 were Model S and about 11,550 were Model X. This was a new quarterly record and represents a 69 percent increase over Q1 2016. Q1 production totaled 25,418 vehicles, also a new quarterly record. Tesla shares gained 0.14 percent to close at $278.30 on Friday.
  • Shares of BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ: BBRY) surged over 11 percent Friday after the company reported stronger-than-expected earnings for its fourth quarter. BlackBerry shares gained 11.51 percent to close at $7.75 on Friday.
  • Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDTI) reported a Q4 loss of $0.69 per share, versus a year-ago loss of $0.26 per share. Clean Diesel Technologies shares fell 0.74 percent to close at $2.69 on Friday.

  • Shares of TRC Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRR) jumped more than 46 percent Friday after the company agreed to be acquired New Mountain Partners IV, L.P. in a deal valued at $17.55 per share. TRC Companies shares rose 46.03 percent to close at $17.45 on Friday.
  • Calix, Inc. (NYSE: CALX) reported the resignation of its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer William Atkins. Calix shares gained 2.11 percent to close at $7.25 on Friday.
