Native Apps will Empower Users with Features Powered by Access to Hardware
NEWPORT BEACH, CA / ACCESSWIRE / April 24, 2017 / ORHub, Inc. (OTC PINK: ORHB), a cloud-based health care software-as-a-service
company focused on decreasing costs and improving outcomes in surgical care, today announces the anticipated second-quarter release
of its new iOS and Microsoft Surface App with built-in, high-performance barcode scanning capabilities.
While 90% of ORHub's customer base is comprised of the doctors, nurses, administrators, and clerical staff at the hospital, a
critical portion of data is entered by medical device sales representatives in the operating room.
While nurses typically use traditional, hand-held barcode scanners, sales reps record product SKUs, expiration dates and serial
numbers by hand or on vendor-issued iPads. ORHub's Native App allows access to a device's hardware so reps can use the camera on
their iPad to scan barcodes for the product they are using.
The app is integrated with high-performance barcode-scanning technology by Manatee Works, which offers built in support for the
GS1 and HIBC barcode formats mandated by the FDA. ORHub's iOS and Microsoft Surface App eliminates time-consuming manual data entry
to streamline efficiencies in the operating room, and to eliminate errors associated with manual data entry.
"The ORHub iOS and Microsoft Surface App is a demonstration of how we can expand the value offered by our existing platform and
empower more of the users already using ORHub to save even more time. We recognize medical device sales reps as a vital customer
base, and are pleased to introduce something that will help them increase efficiency and productivity. The Native App reflects our
commitment to making life in the operating room more agile and to eliminate as much unnecessary overhead as humanly possible," says
Wesley Mitchell, chief technology officer for ORHub.
By integrating Manatee Works' fast barcode-scanning solutions into the app, every tablet, smartphone or wearable device with a
camera can be used as a high-performance barcode scanning device. This dynamic replaces standard barcode scanners that sit in and
are connected to a USB charging doc.
"We want to show support for our users, and also add barcode scanning capability from industry leader Manatee Works, who has
great support for health care focused standards like GS1 and HIBC barcodes," says Mitchell. "This allows reps to use the devices
they love, and also to scan in the hardware they are selling with ease and to do so more quickly in the high-pressure environment
of the operating room."

About ORHub, Inc.
ORHub is a cloud-based software platform focused on delivering value-based medicine in surgical care. The company enables all
parties involved in surgical care to work together to organize, deliver, measure and reimburse in a single uniform process. This
allows for significant decreases in cost and improvement in outcomes by eliminating inefficiencies, duplication of effort, and
errors and omissions that result from siloed processes in software and poor handoffs from one part of the care process to
another.
The need for ORHub is clear. Health care comprises more than 17% of US GDP at over $3 trillion dollars per year. With costs
rising every year due to an aging population and more expensive treatments, providers are under severe pressure to become more
efficient and reduce costs from payers who are aggressively reducing reimbursements and finally moving away from fee-for-service
and toward performance-based reimbursement. ORHub enables providers to thrive in this new environment by addressing the single
largest segment of health care, which is surgical care. ORHub replaces numerous legacy systems with a 360 degree system that is
focused on tracking cost from diagnosis to discharge centered on treating a patient for a specific condition. ORHub has offices in
Phoenix, Arizona, Newport Beach, California, and Bellevue, Washington.
