BALTIMORE, May 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sinclair Broadcast
Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) ("Sinclair") announced today that on March 7, 2017, employees of
its station in Boise, ID, KBOI (CBS/CW), filed a petition with the National Labor Relations
Board ("NLRB") to decertify the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees ("IATSE") Local Union 99. On
April 5, 2017, a secret ballot election was held. A majority of employees who voted elected
to no longer have representation by IATSE. On April 14, KBOI received official notice from
the NLRB that it had certified the results of the election and that IATSE is no longer the exclusive representative of the
employees in that bargaining unit.
"Sinclair is committed to providing all its employees optimum working conditions and opportunities for advancement," commented
Robert Truman, KBOI/KYUU General Manager. "The employee's election decision illustrates the
trust and confidence in the management of KBOI, and we are appreciative to have the support of our people."
