Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:

  • Wall Street expects Viacom, Inc. (NASDAQ: VIAB) to report quarterly earnings at $0.58 per share on revenue of $3.02 billion before the opening bell. Viacom shares fell 0.41 percent to $39.10 in after-hours trading.
  • Facebook Inc (NASDAQ: FB) reported upbeat revenue for its first quarter on Wednesday. Daily active users rose 18 percent year-over-year to 1.28 billion, while monthly active users gained 17 percent to 1.94 billion. Facebook shares fell 2.5 percent to $148.01 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Analysts expect Motorola Solutions Inc (NYSE: MSI) to post quarterly earnings at $0.57 per share on revenue of $1.25 billion after the closing bell. Motorola Solutions shares rose 0.52 percent to close at $86.37 on Wednesday.
  • Tesla Inc (NASDAQ: TSLA) posted a wider-than-expected loss for its first quarter, while sales exceeded expectations. Vehicle production rose 64 percent year-over-year to 25,051 units in the quarter. Tesla shares declined 2.27 percent to $303.70 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Before the markets open, AmerisourceBergen Corp. (NYSE: ABC) is projected to report quarterly earnings at $1.68 per share on revenue of $38.09 billion. AmerisourceBergen shares gained 0.01 percent to close at $82.67 on Wednesday.
  • Fitbit Inc (NYSE: FIT) reported better-than-expected results for its first quarter on Wednesday. Fitbit shares climbed 7.22 percent to $6.09 in the after-hours trading session.

  • Analysts are expecting Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE: HLF) to have earned $0.89 per share on revenue of $1.05 billion in the latest quarter. Herbalife will release earnings after the markets close. Herbalife shares gained 0.05 percent to $62.45 in after-hours trading.
  • Metlife Inc (NYSE: MET) posted stronger-than-expected profit for its first quarter on Wednesday. Metlife shares gained 0.15 percent to close at $52.10 on Wednesday.
  • After the markets close, Consolidated Edison, Inc. (NYSE: ED) is expected to post quarterly earnings at $1.19 per share on revenue of $3.21 billion. Consolidated Edison shares rose 0.31 percent to $79.01 in after-hours trading.
  • Kraft Heinz Co (NASDAQ: KHC) reported weaker-than-expected earnings for its first quarter on Wednesday. Kraft Heinz shares declined 1.62 percent to $87.70 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Analysts expect Kellogg Company (NYSE: K) to report quarterly earnings at $0.99 per share on revenue of $3.28 billion before the opening bell. Kellogg shares rose 0.01 percent to $68.95 in after-hours trading.
  • American International Group Inc (NYSE: AIG) posted upbeat earnings for its first quarter and increased its buyback program by $2.5 billion. AIG shares rose 1.40 percent to $62.40 in the after-hours trading session.
