TORONTO, May 8, 2017 /CNW/ - First National Financial Corporation (TSX: FN, TSX: FN.PR.A, TSX:FN.PR.B) ("First National") is pleased to announce that each of the seven director nominees listed in the Management Information Circular, dated March 24, 2017, were elected as directors of First National at the Annual Meeting of shareholders of First National (the "Meeting") held in Toronto on May 3, 2017. The detailed results of the vote for the election of directors held at the Meeting are set out below.

Each of the seven nominees elected will serve on the board of directors of First National until the next annual election of directors or until their successors are elected or appointed.

In addition, the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP, as the auditor of First National, to hold office until the next annual meeting of shareholders of First National, or until their successors are appointed, and the authorization of the directors of First National to fix the auditor's remuneration, was approved by a resolution passed by a vote by ballot, with 50,754,871 (99.98%) total votes cast "FOR" and 10,352 (0.02%) total votes "WITHHELD".
