JetBlue Named Top 20 Place to Work in Forbes’ ‘America’s Best Employers of 2017’ List for Third Consecutive Year

-- JetBlue Named No. 1 Company to Work for In Transportation and Logistics --

JetBlue (NASDAQ:JBLU) today announced it has earned a top spot among Forbes’ “America’s Best Employers of 2017.” The airline landed at No. 12 of 500 companies nationally and for the third year, was named the best company to work for (No. 1) in the category of transportation and logistics.

The annual Forbes ranking honors employers based on an independent survey asking how likely employees would be to recommend their employer—and other employers in their respective industries—to someone else.

JetBlue has long been recognized for its award-winning product and customer service. Most recently, the airline was ranked #1 in the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) for air travel as well as the Best Mid-Size & Low Cost Airline in North America, and Top Ten Airline In the World in TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice® Awards. These accolades are made possible by more than 20,000 crewmembers working together to live its core values and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

“For 17 years, we have continued to build a brand that’s listened to and remained responsive to the needs of our customers,” said Robin Hayes, president and chief executive officer, JetBlue. “We model this same attention to our crewmembers, knowing that when they feel supported, they are able to support our customers. Our people are the heart of the special culture of caring that we cherish. Our customers feel that—and it’s what they love about JetBlue.”

In 2016, JetBlue received more than 145,000 job applications and hired less than 3% percent. The airline says that its popularity as a workplace comes from its commitment to maintaining a values-driven culture and keeping a close eye on engagement, with plenty of opportunities for crewmembers to be part of the company’s mission of inspiring humanity.

The employers on the Forbes list were chosen based on an independent survey by Statista.com of 30,000 American employees working for large or midsize U.S. companies and institutions. They were asked anonymously through several online panels if they'd recommend their employer, or any other employers in their industry, to a potential employee. The mix of respondents (gender, age, region, educational level, and ethnicity) in the sample is representative of the overall U.S. workforce. Where appropriate, subsidiaries of larger entities were combined for evaluation. The survey was conducted on companies in all industry sectors employing more than 1,000 workers in the U.S. The Forbes’ “America’s Best Employers of 2017,” can be found at http://www.forbes.com/bestemployers
