BOSTON, May 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- John Hancock was named as
one of Forbes magazine's America's Best
Employers 2017. A list ranking the top 500 large employers across 25 industries, nationwide. Thousands of John Hancock
employees work to provide a diverse range of financial protection products and wealth management services to help millions of
Americans achieve their financial goals.
This past year, Forbes surveyed nearly 30,000 American employees at companies with more than 1,000 employees in U.S.
operations to anonymously rate their willingness to recommend their own companies. Respondents also are asked to name choice
employers in industries besides their own and answer other work-related questions. The top 500 companies are ranked based on
these results.
"We're pleased to be among the top companies in America," said John Hancock President and Chief
Executive Officer Craig Bromley. "It's particularly gratifying because this ranking is the result
of anonymous reviews and feedback from our employees, as well as from external talent who recognize John Hancock as an employer
of choice."
The Forbes' recognition, in which John Hancock ranked third in the Banking and Financial Services category and
67th of all top employers, is one of several awards citing John Hancock as a leader. Other recent recognition includes
receiving the Most Innovative Insurer award from Insurance Nexus, being named one of the Nation's Best and Brightest in Wellness
by the National Association for Business Resources, receiving Platinum Status as a Fit Friendly Worksite by the American Heart
Association, and earning a perfect score on Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index.
