Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:

  • Wall Street expects Wal-Mart Stores Inc (NYSE: WMT) to report quarterly earnings at $0.96 per share on revenue of $117.74 billion before the opening bell. Wal-Mart shares slipped 0.41 percent to $74.81 in after-hours trading.
  • Analysts expect Gap Inc (NYSE: GPS) to post quarterly earnings at $0.29 per share on revenue of $3.39 billion after the closing bell. Gap shares gained 1.06 percent to $23.80 in after-hours trading.
  • Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO) reported better-than-expected earnings for its third quarter, but issued a weak revenue forecast for the current quarter. Cisco also announced plans to cut an additional 1,100 jobs. Cisco shares dropped 7.72 percent to $31.22 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Before the markets open, Ralph Lauren Corp (NYSE: RL) is estimated to report quarterly earnings at $0.78 per share on revenue of $1.56 billion. Ralph Lauren shares rose 0.49 percent to $73.11 in after-hours trading.
  • Analysts are expecting salesforce.com, inc. (NYSE: CRM) to have earned $0.26 per share on revenue of $2.35 billion in the latest quarter. salesforce.com will release earnings after the markets close. salesforce.com shares gained 0.69 percent to $88.45 in after-hours trading.

  • L Brands Inc (NYSE: LB) reported upbeat earnings for its first quarter and raised its FY17 outlook. L Brands shares surged 6.82 percent to $51.70 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Wall Street expects Ross Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ: ROST) to post quarterly earnings at $0.8 per share on revenue of $3.27 billion after the closing bell. Ross Stores shares declined 0.29 percent to $61.34 in after-hours trading.
  • After the markets close, McKesson Corporation (NYSE: MCK) is projected to post quarterly earnings at $3 per share on revenue of $49.48 billion. McKesson shares declined 0.38 percent to $141.50 in after-hours trading.
  • Synopsys, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNPS) posted upbeat earnings for its second quarter and issued a string forecast for the current quarter. Synopsys shares climbed 2.31 percent to $75.09 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Analysts expect Alibaba Group Holding Ltd (NYSE: BABA) to report quarterly earnings at $0.66 per share on revenue of $5.21 billion before the opening bell. Alibaba shares gained 1.01 percent to $121.94 in after-hours trading.
