Roche Could Bid as Much as $185/Share for Tesaro
The Rumor:
Shares of TESARO Inc (NASDAQ: TSRO)
spiked sharply higher on a report from German publication Handelszeitung that Roche Holding Ltd. (ADR) (OTC:
RHHBY) could bid $185 per share or $10 billion for the biotech
company. A similar report on Monday, mentioned Sanofi SA (NYSE: SNY) and Gilead Sciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: GILD) as potential buyers.
Shares traded over $150.00 as traders circulated the report.
Tesaro closed at $148.94 on Tuesday, up $4.67.
Zhonghong Zhuoye Group in talks to Acquire Brookdale Senior Living
The Rumor:
Zhonghong Zhuoye Group Co Ltd, which acquired a stake in SeaWorld Entertainment Inc (NYSE: SEAS), is now said to be in talks to acquire Brookdale Senior Living,
Inc. (NYSE: BKD), according to sources as reported by
Reuters. Zhonghong offered approximately $3 billion for Brookdale and the two parties entered into exclusive negotiations, the
sources said.
Earlier this year, Brookdale was said to be in sale talks With Blackstone (NYSE: BX).
Brookdale Senior Living closed at $14.07, up $3.25.
Etsy Said to be Working with Goldman on Strategic Review
The Rumor:
Etsy Inc (NASDAQ: ETSY) is working with
Goldman Sachs as an advisor on their review, according to sources as reported by Dealreporter on Tuesday. Etsy confirmed the
strategic review last month, following 13D filings from TPG and Dragoneer.
Etsy closed at $13.64, UP $0.38.
